I played 3 years college rugby. Have competed sporadically over the years in exercise racing, Crossfit, Powerlifting, Weightlifting, and Men’s Physique.

What do you love about Crosstraining:

I have a love for fitness in general and believe that Crosstraining helps all aspects to become physically fit no matter who you are.

What makes Beyondriven different?

We have a community within our gym, a family that looks out for each other, helps each other, challenges each other, and keeps everyone accountable.

Fitness Journey:

Played multiple sports in grade school like field hockey, basketball, and softball. Became a runner in high school where I ran track and cross country. Returned to running with my first triathlon when I turned 40! Became hooked in fitness since then. Ran my first marathon in 2016, and will run my first ultra marathon in June of 2019!

What makes Beyondriven different?

The people and the experiences you share with one another.

Fitness Journey:

I use to run 15 miles a week until this trainer told me I would never get the tight and toned body  I wanted just by running. He challenged me to come to one of his CrossFit classes so I did. I showed up intimidated and scared out of my mind which is a normal feeling to have. 2 years later here I am in love with the mental and physical challenges it makes me face everyday. I don’t run often but I have noticed my mile is faster than it once was.

Most people don’t know this about me: 

I absolutely love dark chocolate, most chocolate chip desserts and would give up a meal for ice cream.

What do you love about Crosstraining:

For me personally I love the challenges with cross training and the rush after a hard workout! The gym family we have at our gym also helps with all the support. Also it’s such an amazing stress reliever!

What makes Beyondriven different?

The members make this gym extra special along with my love for CrossFit.

Fitness Journey:

I played sports in high school and then began running in my early thirties. I have done at least 7 half marathons, several 5k’s. I started CrossFit in January of 2017. It has become my favorite form of exercise, almost like an addiction for me. I believe it is an amazing way to transform your body and become a stronger person along the way.

Most people don’t know this about me: 

I am married and mother of four children. I work a full time job and it has taken me a lot of years but I realize that I have to take care of myself to stay healthy, both physically and mentally. As busy as I am I always make time for me. For me CrossFit is what works and I will always make sure I get to the gym even at 5:00 am!! I love the journey that I started almost three years ago and I hope to continue to develop as an adult athlete. I never thought I could view myself as an athlete in my forties but with this gym and all the support I am sure I will feel this way for years to come!
